Description: City of Bolivia, located to 1.924 m of altitude, near the birth of the Big river of Tarija, in the southern part of the country. It is an important economic and commercial center in which take place coffee, cane of sugar, cereals and bovine livestock that are marketed optimally to be located in a crossroad of the roads that you/they drive to Argentina through the Red river, and in the roads that northerly Chaco unites Paraguay, when descending for the border river of Pilcomayo. It was founded June 4 1574 by Luis of Fuentes and Vargas in a discovered valley for Francisco of Tarija, beside the New Guadalquivir. Has Episcopal headquarters. In the suburbs there are asphalt locations, lead and lignite.
